Tassel made from recycled silk. Tassel is adorned with a small copper frame which holds the decoupaged image of a scroll with the words ‘you have my sword’ ~ taken from one of my original watercolor paintings.
Carrying a representation of something that inspires us to be strong, soft, brave, loving, or virtuous, means we are reminded of our purpose – who we are, or who we want to be.
The tiny paintings on each tassel are reminiscent of “portrait miniatures” which were popular from the 16th through the 18th centuries. They made it possible to carry the likeness of a person with you, before the age of photography.
Each tassel has a brass clip to attach to keys, belt, bag, or to hang in your home, car – wherever you wish.
