I ran my fingertips over the cracked bindings carefully studying the words, searching for the ones I came to find. One by one I pulled them from the shelves releasing small clouds of dust into the stillness.
It was then, while clearing space on the cluttered table in order to unburden my arms, that I realized candles were already burning. Someone had been here before me, yet I passed no one on the stairs.
There were scrolls spilling from the long table onto the wooden floorboards. I unrolled one to discover a drawing of a ship. Its sails full of wind and a stormy sea surrounding it. A series of words written below the drawing were wholly unknown to me, but I read them several times as if I understood their meaning. Then, shaking my head to clear it, I pushed the scrolls aside with my foot and dropped the one in my hand onto the pile.
Focusing my attention on the tower before me, my eyes settled on a deep red leather spine with gold letters near the top of the tall stack. I slowly moved one of the candles closer and opened the small book.

This rustic, gets-softer-with-age cloth has many uses ~ a mindful alternative to paper towels, dish or hand towel, bath towel for baby, a small table covering, or wall hanging.
Pack one in your overnight satchel as a comfort of home. I use them as pillow coverings, hair wraps, and face towels when I travel.
Each cloth is hand printed with non-toxic, water-based ink.
Approximate size: 26 x 27 inches - almost square.
Care instructions: Machine wash in warm water with mild detergent. No bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry. They will get softer and more absorbent with age and use.
