Tassel made from recycled silk, adorned with a small brass frame which holds the image of the front door of Bag End ~ taken from one of my original watercolor paintings.
Carrying a representation of something that inspires us to be strong, soft, brave, loving, virtuous…means we are reminded of our purpose and who we are, or who we want to be.
This miniature painting is reminiscent of “portrait miniatures” that were popular from the 16th through the 18th centuries. They made it possible to carry the likeness of a person with you, before the age of photography.
Each tassel has a brass clip to attach to keys, belt, bag ~ or wherever you wish.
Approximate size of tassel: 7/8" at widest part of clip x 7" long (including brass clip)
